Life isn’t as serious as the mind makes it out to be: A Moment With Seth Serenity

I have been entranced by Seth Serenity from the moment I saw him on Boycrush, and that is something I have rarely if ever said about a model.  There is an innocence in his eyes that draws you in and that turned up smile that suggests so much more.

At a time where many performers appear to be bored or simply going through the motions Seth provides us with great performances every time.  Fellow blogger Dewayneinsd perhaps summarized Seth best when he said:

“ Seth is a favorite he stood out in the beginning and sexually he is “off the chain” a good thing for a pornstar! Accent makes me all hot love southern boys.”

Most people that watch this passionate and intense performer in action would be unaware of who he really is and the journey to reach the stage he is now at this point in his life.

Born in Boulder, Colorado, Seth spent his early years in North Carolina and Virginia and those early days imbued in him a deep love for the South.  It is for that very reason that he bases himself in Atlanta, Georgia and allows him to rebuild his new life.  His early years saw him develop an extremely strong bond with his mother, a bond as you can see still remains strong and precious to him.

“My mom growing up was and still is my best friend; growing up she has always talked about how she wanted me to become a lawyer. Once I was of age when my brain starting really being able to decide what I wanted in life and how I wanted to live my life I knew I never wanted to be a lawyer. I remember finally telling my mom when I was 15 that I could never see myself lieing and possibly indirectly hurting someone else and helping someone that was possibly a lair and not a victim. I will never forget what she said:  “I don’t care what you wanna do in your life. I want you to be happy and will support you in anything you want to do. Don’t be afraid of telling me anything.” It was then that I think my mom and I had our relationship reach a new level and have a deeper bond.”

This gives us an early insight into a far more sensitive and introspective side of Seth that few have had a chance to see up to this point in his life.  It also demonstrates to us that there are two very different people, the performer we know as Seth Serenity and the young man finding his place in society.

When I posed the suggestion that his public persona is very much out there all guns blazing, but the person I speak to is totally different.

“I think I present myself to people the way I’d like to be seen which is the opposite of the way I actually am.  I usually prefer to sit at home and keep to myself. I’m a hermit and prefer to stay home rather than go out.”

The million dollar question that all models get asked of course is how they got into the industry.

“I would say that it was probably when I was a pre-teen growing up I would watch Heather Brooke in porn, which for some reason I had a strange obsession with her at the time. I always thought it would be neat to actually be in porn. I then when I turned of age, I applied at a few companies.”

Boycrush got him out to Phoenix and the rest as they say is history, as Boycrush members were introduced to Seth Serenity in that delicious Southern accent.

It is obvious for anyone who watches Seth in action that he always appears to be right into the scene, and is almost oblivious to the fact we are watching.

“Actually being filmed for the first time was unique. I was turned on but, and for the first few minutes I was nervous, but shortly after I forgot the camera was even there until there was a cut obviously.”

So, given that he puts on such an intense performance every time he is in front of the camera, how important is it for him to be into the other model as far as the scene goes? His answer shows the same professionalism and commitment we see in his scenes:

“Well, this is an interesting question because I like such an array of guys that this is rare to happen; although this has happened before in a few scenes before. I would not say that it was the models aesthetic features but it was more a combination of attitude and personality. I would say that my attraction to another model is not a necessity in order to work with them.  It is more of a bonus if I am. I try and always perform and carry myself with a level of professionalism in the studio.”

We started doing this interview over a month ago and at that point Seth had retreated back to Atlanta to rebuild his life after a heat-breaking split from his boyfriend in May.  I asked him at the time whether he was finished with the industry because we had not seen much of him after the breakup.  At that stage his answer was indicative of someone trying to sort out his life:-

“I have not called it quits in the industry; although I am not perusing it too much either. I love the industry for the most part along with many of the perks of it; travel, meeting new people, fulfilling my exhibitionism in having sex documented on video, along with the fact extra cash never burns a hole in my pocket.”

“Although I love the industry I recognize that it is not something I plan on making a career out of; It is also not an industry that I would like to stay in for the rest of my life either, i.e. working in a studio behind set or anything in that such nature . I have a desire and the urge to help people, along with always being eager to learn and gain knowledge; I have always felt the medical field would better suit me, thus this is why I went to school for nursing and most recently has decided to change my career goal to something more in the mental health area and I am currently pursuing a bachelors of sciences in psychology; I am not sure what I will use this degree for but obtaining the information and accomplishing that is enough rewarding for me I am not a person to real set goals., its strong than any object or item could be.”

Fast forward to now and he has been very busy doing work for a number of studios and having a far better outlook on life and his future directions.

I have seen him undergo a dramatic transformation in a short amount of time and he best explains what happened to see him get to this point.

“My past relationship!  At that time I didn’t feel like I could be happy without him and I knew something about that wasn’t right, so I needed a better understanding of who I am.”

So out of being heart-broken Seth began the process of rebuilding his life and allowing himself a sense of self worth.  As he said:-

“I wanted to know why I couldn’t be happy with out someone else.  I have been doing a lot of changing.  I haven’t really been busy.  I have been just doing a lot of thinking.”

He found the writings of Eckhart Tolle helped him find answers to many of the questions that were rolling around in his mind. Tolle still remains his favorite author and a constant source of comfort and enjoyment.

So with this new found confidence and calm, does Seth think that it will make a difference to his performances?

“I can’t say. Will it make a difference? Probably…. yes.”

I suppose that is for us to determine when the scenes he has done recently are released by the studios.  The one thing I will confidently predict is that that passionate and erotic nature of his performances will continue as he re-establishes his career in the industry.

So, given that he now has emotionally and professionally found a stable base, what does the future hold for Seth?  He wants to continue to work in the industry and pursue his qualifications in psychology.  The most significant thing is that he clearly understands the order of things in his life now:-

“I am my number one priority, then it’s my family, then it’s my career with psychology and then porn.”

Seth, with his new found confidence, is moving into the future with a clear insight into who he is and where he wants to be.  It has been a hard and emotional struggle but he has become stronger because of it and I believe will continue to embrace his future in a far more positive manner.
